One of Birmingham's most iconic landmarks has been recreated out of Dairy Milk chocolate.

Chocolatiers from Cadbury crafted the 80cm-tall model of the Library of Birmingham to celebrate its first birthday.

The intricate replica comes with chocolate rings, rooftop gardens and the famous Shakespeare Room.

The library is one of the largest creations ever made by experts at Cadbury World and it took a team of eight to build the model.

Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: "Our team of chocolatiers were met with an enormous challenge, but also a great deal of fun, when creating their replica of this iconic building.

"We hope this will go a long way towards making the Library of Birmingham's first birthday a momentous occasion and that visitors enjoy seeing one of our city’s finest sites, re-rendered in chocolate."
