A bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving after a fatal accident in central Birmingham.

West Midlands Police said the 40-year-old driver was later bailed pending further inquiries into the death of postal worker John Ariss.

Mr Ariss, a 63-year-old father-of-five from Weoley Castle, died in hospital after his bike collided with a bus on James Watt Queensway shortly after 6am on Wednesday.
