A bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving after a fatal accident in central Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said the 40-year-old driver was later bailed pending further inquiries into the death of postal worker John Ariss.
Mr Ariss, a 63-year-old father-of-five from Weoley Castle, died in hospital after his bike collided with a bus on James Watt Queensway shortly after 6am on Wednesday.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to call the Road Policing Unit at Digbeth police station on 0845 113 5000.
