Police are appealing for witnesses after an eight-year-old boy was attacked in broad daylight in a Redditch park.
The boy was walking through Terry's playing fields, near Redditch United FC, on Thursday when he was pinned down by three males with a knife.
The males, described as Asian around the age of 16 wearing hooded tops and bandanas, threatened the victim before running off towards Bromsgrove Road.
The boy was left shaken but not hurt, and police want to hear from anyone who was in the area between 2.10pm and 2.30pm on Thursday February 5.
PC Luke Jackson from Redditch police said: "We believe that Terry's playing fields would have been busy at this time with so many children off school and out in the snow.
"We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or saw three males of this description in the area to contact police as soon as they can."
Anyone with information can call Redditch police on 0300 333 3000 while anyone not wishing to give their name can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
