Detectives were last night continuing to hunt five youths after a bowling alley worker was crushed to death under a ten-pin machine.
Technician Ferdinand Dela Cruz, a married father-of-one, was pronounced dead at the scene at Hollywood Bowl, in Jenkins Lane, Barking, east London.
Officers were called to reports of a man trapped under the mechanism.
A post mortem examination of the 34-year-old, from East Ham, gave his cause of death as "traumatic asphyxiation and compression of the chest".
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: "Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the Hollywood Bowl after 4pm on Thursday to contact them.
"We are also appealing for five male youths who were seen bowling at an alley near to lane 18 to contact police as they may have vital information that can help the inquiry."
The teenagers - one black and four Asian - are aged between 16 and 18.
It was previously claimed one of the youths threw a bowl at the victim as he was cleaning the ten-pin mechanism at about 7.30pm on Thursday.
The Scotland Yard spokesman said officers were liaising with the local authority's environmental health unit. ..SUPL:
