New Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has given a boost to West Brom fans by admitting the club is in talks over the sale of Ben Foster.

Former Huddersfield Town manager Clark took over at St Andrew's this week and confirmed talks were progressing over the stopper.

Foster was a big hit at the Hawthorns last season after a string of impressive performances.

"There's been dialogue with West Bromwich Albion over Ben Foster, we'll see how that develops over the coming weeks," Clark said.

"Nathan Redmond and Jack Butland are two fantastic young players, who Peter (Pannu) has already come out in his words and said 'eye-popping bids'. What he means by that is crazy bids, so it would have to be fantastic amounts of money.

"So, I'm saying to you now, those lads will be part of the group that start the season because they're fantastic young players.

"Curtis Davies falls into that category as well - a very experienced, outstanding player."
