Eight members of a drugs gang who made hundreds of thousands of pounds selling heroin and crack cocaine were jailed yesterday.

The Wolverhamptonbased " Flava" gang made huge profits by selling the drugs on the streets of Aberdeen, but were caught following a surveillance operation by Grampian Police.

The High Court in Aberdeen heard that Justin Bennett (31), Paul Green (25), Jamie Hill (28), Shane Lane (26), and Elton Whitter (25), all of Wolverhampton, and Darrel Mapp (22), of Birmingham, were responsible for the daytoday running of the drugs operation in Aberdeen.

They would sort out the deals and use Colin Middleton (31) and Colin McGettigan (43) from Aberdeen as runners.

Bennett was jailed for eight years, Green to five years seven months, and Hill to five years three months.

Lane was jailed for six years and five months while Mapp was sentenced to five years and eight months.
