An exciting new era has begun for the Birmingham Post as we unveil a standalone daily tablet edition – Business Daily – the first of its kind in business publishing.

The launch of the tablet edition will put the historic Birmingham Post brand at the forefront of business news in a fast-changing digital world.

I’m confident this new publication will complement our print version perfectly, giving the people of Birmingham the fastest, freshest and most unique business insight every weekday.

Business Daily is all about being useful and providing you with the information you need to thrive.

Its content will be completely different to the Birmingham Post printed newspaper.

We’ll be publishing at least 30 pages every weekday direct to your iPad or Android tablet. It will be full of need-to-know business stories, civic news, residential and commercial properties of the day and stock market reports on key Midland businesses.

There will also be five pages of Leads & Deals – a comprehensive daily round-up of the latest mergers, acquisitions, planning applications and contract offers.

The design will combine the familiarity of print with the usability of an app and will be constantly evolving.

The tablet edition is subscription-based, starting at £9.99 a month, with a free trial period for you to take a look at what Business Daily is all about.

A corporate subscription pricing model has also been introduced with a sliding scale approach dependent on how many subscriptions are taken up by any given company.

So why not search Birmingham Post in your tablet store and download the app now.

If you don’t yet have an iPad, pick up this week's Birmingham Post on Thursday to find out how you can win one.
