An elderly Birmingham man is in intensive care after suffering multiple injuries in a car accident outside a golf course in Surrey.
The 84-year-old suffered broken ribs, a punctured lung and several fractures to his pelvis in the collision in the car park at Hoebridge Golf Centre in Woking.
The air ambulance was called before the injured man was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, south London.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said he remained in a serious condition in intensive care.
The pensioner was one of three people injured in the collision with a Ford Focus, which happened at about 3pm on Sunday.
An 84-year-old woman, also from the Birmingham area, suffered minor injuries in the incident. She was treated at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, before being discharged later the same evening.
A 55-year-old woman, from the West Midlands area, received a minor foot injury.
