A man from Birmingham has appeared in court charged with the murder of a four-month-old baby.
Aaliyah Jordan-Fellows died in hospital on New Year's Eve in 2008, after suffering "trauma to her head", West Midlands Police said.
Jason Roberts, 24, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court accused of the baby's murder.
Her 20-year-old mother, Bobbiellen Jordan, and James Nicholls, 21, were charged with neglect and ill treatment and will appear before magistrates next Tuesday.
All three accused are from the West Heath area of Birmingham.
A police spokeswoman said the charges followed a "comprehensive and complex investigation" by the force's public protection detectives.
Aaliyah died two days after being taken by ambulance to Birmingham Children's Hospital.
A post-mortem examination revealed she had sustained a fractured skull and other injuries including fractures and bruising.
A serious case review into the circumstances of her death, launched by Birmingham's Safeguarding Children Board (BSCB), is ongoing.
