Motorists in Birmingham have been warned to expect delays when work on a city centre road flyover starts next week.

Council bosses are urging drivers to stagger their journeys or use alternative routes when the work on Suffolk Street Queensway gets under way.

The road will be reduced to one lane between Holloway Circus and Paradise Circus on the Suffolk Street flyover for 16 weeks from Monday.

The work will replace and upgrade the bridge's parapet and lighting columns to make sure it remains safe.
