Birmingham's St Philip's Cathedral has launched its first ever Christmas market today - with craft stalls, English foods and plenty of potential Christmas presents to buy.

We popped down as the market opened at 4pm - clearly with some work still to be done on it - but the stalls were up and running.

Although the sheds look identical to the ones at the German Market, there are different stalls here and it is definitely worth a look.

Here you'll find Christmas dinners wrapped up in Yorkshire puddings; handmade fudge, pork scratchings, pick'n'mix sweets, pork baps, foot long sausages, Baileys hot chocolate, artisan cheese and chutney, halloumi fries and donuts.

There's lots of gift ideas too.

You'll find wooden ties, glass picture lamps, handmade candles, homemade Christmas puddings and bright coloured cardigans.

The atmosphere is festive with music playing, Santa walking round to meet people (at least he was on the opening night) and people enjoying mulled wine and beer.

There are Christmas lights and reindeers for selfie pics.

Drinks can be had at The Christmas Tree Bar, so called because of the large Christmas tree on the roof.

We tried a number of food stalls including the Yorkshire pudding wraps.

It's filled with roast potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, turkey and gravy. I even had a bit of crackling thrown in too! It costs £6 but is very filling the meat tasty but it is let down by the veg and roast potatoes which taste like they have been frozen.

Nearby there's a mother, daughter and granddaughter who are selling Loaded Fries. The halloumi fries are great, especially with the homemade tomato relish made by daughter Zoe Aston.

There's a grotto too.

The Cathedral Market opened on the same day as the German Christmas Market and City Social, next to The Mailbox, and will run until Sunday, December 22.
