Dear Editor, Now that the threat of terrorist action has diminished, when does Birmingham Airport expect to return to us, the travelling public, the convenience of parking in the place that the building was designed for, ie outside of the terminal itself.
Or is the airport making so much money now from what used to be the short stay car park that they are hoping to make it permanent.
£1 for 15 minutes parking for everyone except those able to afford black cabs, and if you happen to be disabled, old, have children or are slow in getting off the car park you are then punished with a further charge of £3 for 15 minutes.
Facilities are non existent, too. We now have to pay if we require a trolley and then try dragging it up the ramps to the terminals when the weather is bad.
Talk about extortion. Other airports including Heathrow, Dusseldorf, Zurich, Milan and others do not stop vehicles dropping off passengers outside the terminal building.
Enough is enough and the airport should be returned to how it was, for the convenience of the travelling public and not for making even more money out of us.
