Ben Foster has completed his move to West Bromwich Albion, according to the keeper.

On his Twitter page, Foster paid tribute to Birmingham City fans after making his loan move to the Hawthorns permanent.

The keeper said: "Really happy to have just signed for West Bromwich Albion, thx to the fans for making me feel so welcome last year, can't wait to get started.

"Want to say a huge thank you to all at BCFC and the fans, will always look back at my time with you with fondness. I'll never forget what you have done for me and will always remember the carling cup final as that meant so much to me, and you. My best wishes for the future."

Foster made a major impression at Albion in a year-long loan last season.

The signing, which is yet to be confirmed on the club's website, would be the first for new head coach Steve Clarke.
