Mark Bellingham scored for the 12th game in a row as Stourbridge claimed the points in their match of the day at fellow title hopefuls Coalville Town.
A 4-3 victory kept second-placed Stourbridge within five points, with one game in hand, of leaders Malvern Town.
Bellingham's double - taking him to 45 in all competitions - and two for striker partner Rob Taylor accounted for hosts Coalville, with Danum Russell, Stuart Wilson and Dave Tonge replying.
Malvern needed an 87th-minute winner from Mark Shepherd to seal a 3-2 home success against Boldmere St Michaels. The Worcestershire side twice led through Lee Tomkins and Mark Owen but Jimmy Quiggin and Stuart Grosvenor levelled.
Fourth-placed Chasetown were also involved in a five-goal contest, but all the goals ended in the net of opponents Westfields in Hereford. Karl Edwards (2), Nicky Harrison and Lee Bullimore (2) were on target for the Scholars. Romulus jump into third spot, above Coalville and level with Chasetown, after Michael Batchelor's 77th-minute goal secured victory at Quorn.
Leamington continued their push for the top six when Leon Morgan bagged their 87th-minute winner against Stratford Town, while on-loan teenager Oliver Harthill scored twice in earning Alve-church a 4-2 win in their derby tussle at Studley. Oldbury United ended with nine men as they became the first visiting side in nearly two seasons to suffer defeat at basement side Rocester. Leon Mitchell and Andy Dodd were both red-carded in a 1-2 reverse, with Ben Smith netting for Oldbury.
