Financial advisors Bell Chambers has been bought by the regional AFH group.

Birmingham-based Bell Chambers, which has its offices on the Suffolk Street Queensway, will become a division of AFH, a growing Midlands IFA network with its headquarters in Bromsgrove.

The move takes place with immediate effect.

Jeff and Alison Burgess, the directors of Bell Chambers said: “As a member of the Tenet Network, we are happy to have joined a firm that is directly authorised with the FSA. Joining the AFH team will allow more time to be spent with our clients and enable us to offer them additional services via the AFH in-house discretionary management service.

“We are also very pleased that our administrator of many years, Karen Westwood, has moved with us, helping to make the transition seamless for both Bell Chambers and our clients.”

Towards the end of last year, AFH Wealth Management was listed in the Financial Adviser top 100 Advisers in the UK. The firm now has 45 Midland-based IFAs and a team of in-house investment and technical experts. It recently launched a stockbroking service – an unusual move for a local IFA practice.

Alan Hudson, the managing director of the AFH Group, said: “I am delighted that Jeff and Alison have decided to join us. They are highly regarded in the local IFA community and bring with them a wealth of experience. We will continue to speak to local IFAs who are interested in joining our team and are focused on constantly improving our service offering for the benefit of our clients.”
