A national campaign to get children to switch of their television sets and pick up a book instead during the long summer holiday is being fronted by Midland pupils.
Youngsters from Solihull School will feature in a poster campaign for the Reading Voyage scheme launched by the Reading Agency.
The posters will appear in libraries throughout the UK at the start of the summer vacation.
Solihull School was chosen to lead the campaign after its pupils were the biggest participants in a similar scheme last year.
Nicola Atkins, library co-ordinator at the school, said: " Our boys were delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile nationwide initiative."
The Reading Agency aims to inspire a reading nation by working with libraries and and schools.
This year's campaign will have a nautical theme and involve youngsters filling in reading logs.
