Dear Editor, Your front page is consistently filled with yet more British soldiers, some of them as young as 18 years of age, being killed in Afghanistan in a war that none of us know what is about.

Our inept Government keeps informing us that it is for our own security because of the threat of terrorism. Why therefore is it that the few unfortunate incidents that have happened in the UK are due to our radical Islamists that live here anyway?

Unfortunately all of this amounts from the lies that we were told back in 2002 by Mr Tony Blair who together with his honcho, Mr Bush, dragged us into the Iraqi war and then onto Afghanistan. Since then Mr Blair has been parading around the world earning millions whilst keeping a low profile. I wonder what he would think if his two sons had to go out to war!

The whole affair has been based on his incompetence with the British people.

He in fact should be on trial for war crimes and the rest of the totally ineffective Government should be got rid of well before the next election.

With the loss now daily of so many young British lives, I am amazed that we are not marching on the streets against this awful forage into yet another foreign country.

Please can somebody get us out and bring home these young men as soon as possible.

A R Fitzpatrick,
Hall Green.
