Aston Villa are to head for Ireland as part of their preparations for the new Premier League campaign.

Aston Villa are to head for Ireland as part of their preparations for the new Premier League campaign.

Martin O'Neill's side will face Airtricity League side Bohemians at Dalymount Park, Dublin, on Saturday, July 24 (3pm).

Villa have already confirmed a friendly at Walsall on Tuesday, July 27 before they fly out to Portugal for the Guadiana Cup, in which they will play Benfica and Feyenoord.

On their return, Villa will welcome Spanish giants Valencia to Villa Park on Friday, August 6 (kick-off 7.45pm).
