Six men involved in a brutal gang war attack in Aston when a man in a barber's shop was shot and attacked with a machete were yesterday given jail sentences totalling 82 years.
Qadeem Mohammed (29), Naseem Mohammed (30), Shamus Iqbal, (25), and Naveed Mohammed (28), all from Aston, who have previously been convicted of attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent, were all given 18 year jail sentences.
Zafran Rashid (23), who was found guilty of assisting an offender and attempting to pervert the course of justice and Zafar Iqbal (41), who was convicted of one charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice, were both jailed for five years.
The attack on Mohammed Javed took place at a barber's shop in Witton Road on a busy lunchtime.
