Birmingham's Broad Street will be closed to vehicles this weekend to make way for the city's ArtsFest celebrations.

The Road will be closed between Sheepcote Street and Paradise Circus from 6.30pm on Friday until 11.30pm on Sunday to allow the ArtsFest events in Centenary Square to take place safely.

Signed diversions will be in place via the Ring Road and Bath Row and Holloway Head for traffic into the city, and also via the A457.

Traffic out of the city will also be directed via the Ring Road.

Access for diverted bus services will be maintained along Broad Street between Sheepcote Street and Five Ways.

The eighth annual ArtsFest event in Birmingham city centre is expected to attract about 100,000 visitors.

It includes a wide range of performances at venues across the city centre including two large stages in Centenary Square.
