An artist is desperately searching for a Victorian piano stool to complete an exhibition due to open in Birmingham next week.
Suchan Kinoshita is appealing for people to search their houses, attics and garages for a Victorian-style round piano stool, regardless of condition with an adjustable seat and three legs.
The stool will be used in an artwork, based on a sample of music by the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
The exhibition at the Ikon gallery from November 29 to January 21 features a piano without the keys that represent notes in the piece that are not played. These keys are removed and scattered on the floor.
Audience members are invited to sit at the piano and play the composition using the remaining keys.
Anyone with a similar stool can call Diana Stevenson on 0121 248 0708.
