South Birmingham College is one of the largest and most successful further education colleges in the West Midlands.

The college provides a wide range of vocational courses and qualifications for over 12,000 students, including school leavers, adult learners and businesses across the region.

Students can study a range of disciplines from catering, construction, accountancy and hairdressing to media, childcare and much more on a part-time, full-time or short course basis.

The college has five campuses within Birmingham, including a purpose-built construction campus in Bordesley Green, a Digbeth campus, the new Fusion Centre which houses fashion and performance arts courses, a Women’s Academy and our newly-refurbished Hall Green campus.

The college has been recognised for its high quality teaching and success rates with fantastic results in our most recent Ofsted inspection which led to the college receiving Beacon college status, an award given to recognise excellence and innovation within the further education system.

In November 2011 the college also received two further Association of Colleges Beacon Awards for Leadership of Innovation and Curriculum Development and Widening Participation.

Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged 16 and over. Whether you are just leaving school, have been working for a number of years or are looking to start a new career, there is an apprenticeship option to suit you.

You just need to be living in England and not currently in full-time education.
