Dear Editor, It is with great sadness that I hear of the death of Neil Alden Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon in 1969.
Neil was a wonderful engineer whose dedication and professionalism on the Apollo program inspired engineers and enthusiasts alike. I was fortunate to meet him on two occasions one formal and one informal and I was not disappointed with the meeting of a man who lived the dreams of so many.
His legacy to humanity will be to remind us all that no matter how lofty the goal or how outlandish the dream, dedication, hard work and drive can help us all achieve anything we choose. He will be missed but will never be forgotten.
