AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kemy Agustien is eager to complete his loan move to Birmingham City.
The 21-year-old, who made 25 league appearances for AZ last season, is thought to be heading to England today to sign a one-year loan deal with Birmingham, who were relegated from the Barclays Premier League in May.
The Blues will also have an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the 2008/09 campaign.
Agustien is excited at the thought of playing in England, telling De Telegraaf newspaper: "Birmingham want to return to the Premier League as soon as possible, and I find that a great challenge."
Agustien has dismissed suggestions he is taking a backward step by leaving AZ to move to St Andrew's.
"What people think of me playing at a lower level doesn't bother me," he added. "The starting point is that I can play football again and make progression under (Birmingham boss) Alex McLeish, a top coach who wants to have me in his squad.
"And it is also a fact that the Championship is well thought of."
