The administrator of Hagley-based Advent Computer Training and Access 2 Careers has set up websites and helplines to assist students, employees and creditors of the training companies.

Ian Gould and Brian Hamblin of accountant PKF, who were appointed on February 17, anticipate a high level of interest in the companies, particularly from students who have outstanding training needs.

Mr Gould said: “We are obviously aware that many students, employees and creditors are facing worrying levels of uncertainty; our websites and helplines will keep them up to date with progress as we work to find a buyer for the companies.

“We can also answer some of the frequently asked questions that occur when businesses go into administration.”

The websites are at www.pkf.co.uk/advent and www.pkf.co.uk/access2careers.

The help line number for Advent is 0844  770 1921 and for Access 2 Careers 0844 770 1922.

Both businesses were run by directors Ivor Allchurch and Ashley Jones from offices at 5 The Mews, Hagley Hall, Hagley, Worcestershire.

They employed around 250 people and jointly had an annual turnover of £30 million.

Thousands of students were affected by the collapse of the two firms - many of whom had paid up to £10,000 for courses.
