Coventry City manager Micky Adams is set to make a fresh move for Tottenham goalkeeper Marton Fulop, writes Brian Dick.

The Hungarian was hugely impressive during his seven-month loan spell at the Ricoh Arena last season and Adams has been keen to bring him back on a permanent basis.

However, his attempts have been frustrated with the two clubs unable to agree a fee, and now Fulop has been given the opportunity to press for a first-team place in Spurs' pre-season matches.

However, it would appear he is still third choice behind Paul Robinson and Radek Cerny and the 23-year-old is keen to continue playing regularly.

Adams has cash to spend after the sale of James Scowcroft and a new goal-keeper and striker are on his wish-list. But he will not be rushed into a deal.

"I am not unduly concerned regarding the goalkeeper situation because we have got irons in the fire and we will keep monitoring it until the first game of the season when there will be a need for another goal-keeper in the squad," said Adams.

Richard Money is likely to be without Michael Dobson when his Walsall team take on Worcester City in their latest pre-season friendly.

Dobson injured his hand in last Friday's match with Aston Villa and missed Tuesday evening's 3-2 win over Camarthen Town and is not expected to be available tonight.

He is likely to be in the picture for the start of the season, however, as is Anthony Gerrard who will also be kept under wraps against Worcester.

With centre-backs Ian Roper and Chris Westwood suspended for the first match of the season, Gerrard has become vital to manager Money and will not be risked.

Tonight's fixture is the second of three away fixtures in five days as Money looks to give his side the sort of physical test they will encounter in League Two.

He will be hoping the out-come is the same as earlier this week when new signings Martin Butler and Hector Sam scored in Wales. Trinidadian Sam equalised before Mark Wright put the Bescot side 2-1 ahead. The hosts levelled at 2-2 but Butler was on target ten minutes into the second half to seal the victory.
