Moseley have reinforced their pack with the signing of back row forward Adam Whitney from Welsh Premiership club Cardiff.

The 23-year-old openside made his debut for Cardiff in August 2007 and, with 21 starts, helped the Welsh club to second place in the league las season.

Educated at Brynteg Comprehensive and UWIC, Whitney represented Wales at Under 16, 18 and 19 levels, alongside current Moseley scrum half Jimmy Ireland, as well as playing for with new team-mate Nathan Williams for Welsh Academics.

He burst into the Premiership when he joined Bridgend in 2005 from Ospreys academy and by the end of that campaign he was nominated for the award, eventually won by current international Alun-Wyn Jones, Principality Premiership's Best Newcomer.

The following season he captained The Ravens before moving from his home town club to Cardiff.
