Last week in Post Property, we reported how Richard and Judi have the best garden in the UK.
No, not the book-loving former daytime TV presenters, but Richard and Judi Green from Kings Heath.
They earned the accolade in a competition run by Fine and Country to find the country’s favourite garden.
Gardening expert and overall judge Martyn Cox praised their plot outside their home in Featherstone Road for being “chock-a-block with plants, a small lawn, a raised pond and a box parterre, with winding paths that add a sense of mystery – you really don’t know what’s around the corner”.
For house hunters who are searching for properties with beautiful back gardens, here are some with green and pleasant plots.
Patrick Road in Yardley
An extended traditional semi with many original features.
It has two reception rooms, large kitchen, bathroom and toilets up and down stairs.
The back garden is a particularly appealing feature of the property.
It is packed with a variety of mature shrubs and trees.
It is also a productive garden with a place to grow your own with fruit trees and vegetable plot.
There is a lush green lawn and goldfish pond/water feature.

A beautifully presented five-bedroom family home in a quiet cul-de-sac with a stunning south facing garden.
Inside it has two reception rooms, kitchen and an office/gym.
Outside there is a Cotswold paved patio area overlooking all of the rear garden.
Spread over a third of an acre, it has a huge range of mature trees, shrubs, bushes, hedgerows, flower beds, rockeries and slate beds.
Various pathways, arbours and railway sleeper steps link different areas of the garden.
There is even space for play with climbing frames, slides, swings, soft bark areas and a tree house.
