A contemporary artist dubbed ‘the Banksy of Brighton’ will be hosting his first exhibition in Birmingham.

Imbue, who once installed imitation heroin and cocaine vending machines on Brighton Pier, recently relocated to Birmingham from the south coast town, where The Independent newspaper gave him the Banksy title.

The London-born artist’s ‘Hellow World’ exhibition launches at the PROVIDE store at the Custard Factory on Friday, September 5.

Imbue creates street art and stickers, stencils and posters, which often appear overnight. A recent campaign involved sneaking his ‘Not So White’ image into a Disney store.

The Custard Factory exhibition will feature nine new hand screen-printed works, priced at £10 each on a first come, first served basis.

As well as the prints, the store has worked with Imbue on an exclusive T-shirt to accompany the exhibition, which will be available to buy from September 5.
