A child care business is opening a new nursery and expanding its existing premises after securing £650,000 in funding from Santander.
Solihull-based The Natural Childcare Company is set to expand its operations with the relocation of its Shirley premises after purchasing the former library building, in Church Road, Shirley.
It has also leased and renovated Bentley Manor, in Dorridge, for the home of its second nursery.
The new locations will cater for up to 200 children and will create 35 new jobs for the local area, bringing total staff to over 60.
The company was established by Katie Landreth in 2008 who was joined by her husband Tim in 2011 with a focus on financial management and site identification.
Mrs Landreth has 21 years' experience in the childcare sector and has previously opened and managed nurseries for large and small companies.
The couple is now planning to increase the number of nurseries they own from two to five, adding one per year.
Mrs Landreth said: "We are delighted to be able to expand our business and with the knowledge and experience we have of the local market, we are confident the nurseries in Dorridge and Shirley will be very successful."
Michael Graham, relationship director with Santander Corporate and Commercial, added: "Santander is delighted to be able to support UK businesses such as The Natural Childcare Company, which provides an important and valuable service to local families.
"We have been very impressed by Katie, Tim and the team and look forward to working with them closely going forward."
