Warwickshire constructor Stepnell has been awarded a £448,500 contract to convert a former youth centre in Nuneaton in to a new funeral home.
The contact was awarded by the Heart of England Co-operative Society.
Work is set to be completed in August and will enable the society to move its existing funeral home.
The 6,400 sq ft building is set to have extensive work done internally. The plans also include the creation of off-road parking.
Göbel & Partner, Walsall, a supply chain and management solutions provider for the global manufacturing industry, has secured £3 million in funding from Santander.
Göbel & Partner, which works with companies such as Jaguar Land Rover and General Motors, will use the money to support its European and international expansion plans by setting up a new recruitment subsidiary- Vivate Recruitment.
AFH Financial, Bromsgrove, is set to hold a general meeting where it proposes to ask shareholders to approve plans to issue 1,250,000 new shares at 10p each.
The board is also recommending its shareholders to approve a special resolution allowing directors to dis-apply shareholders statutory pre-emption rights allowing them to issue ordinary shares of 10p each up to an aggregate value of £125,000.
This follows on from the firms intention to move up to the Alternative Investment Market.
Sunrise Bakery, based in Smethwick, a leading producer and wholesaler of Afro-Caribbean bread products has secured a £75,000 investment from Positive Cashflow Finance.
The family run business plans to use the money to expand in to additional retailers and diversify in to the luxury products market following on from the launch of its premium run cake, Paradise Estates.
The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has issued a contract notice for the provision of a bus service between Coventry railway station, town centre and Ansty Park.
The contract will last for 3 years, with the HCA reserving the right to extend the duration for an additional year.
The contract has a value of £398,000 excluding VAT.
