Stationery giant Ryman's former chief operating officer has joined a Staffordshire training company - to deliver courses on sales and leadership.

Matthew Dashper-Hughes, who lives in Cheshire, has joined the team at Stoke-on-Trent-based Sandler Training.

Matthew - who also owns and runs Office Prime Supplies - has extensive business experience which includes leading the £63.5 million buyout of Bargain Booze Ltd in 2006 and his role as former customer services director of the Theo Paphitis Retail Group.

He will now be delivering a range of professional development and training courses for Sandler, including sales, management and leadership and organisational excellence.

He said: "When I launched Office Prime Supplies in early 2017, running my own business was completely new to me. In my previous roles, I had a whole team to help me to deliver.

"Not long after I set up, I was introduced to Sandler training courses. The system helped me transform my business to one that now virtually runs itself. From that point on I was a Sandler Training convert.

"It really is fantastic and I can't wait to help other businesses reap the rewards."

Sandler managing director Roy Johnson, added: "Mathew has extensive business experience in the local area and will be an absolute asset to the team. With such great experience we would have been missing a trick not to bring him in, especially when he is such an advocate of Sandler Training."
