Rotary Club members in a North Birmingham suburb have raised £888 for the Midlands Air Ambulance with a charity fun day.
The Rotary Club of Wylde Green held the event at Wheat’s Garden Centre in Aldridge with music provided by the Ambience band and magic by Jack Dent.
Club president John Watson said: “This was our first fundraiser of the new Rotary year and I’m delighted to report that it has been very well supported, for which I am most grateful to everyone involved.
“We are very grateful to Brian Wheat and his team at Wheat’s Garden Centre for so generously allowing us to use their Grand Marquee. I chose Midlands Air Ambulance as my charity for the year as none of us knows when we might need their services and they are funded purely by donations.”
