A Birmingham copywriter hopes to raise £1,000 for a children’s charity with a sponsored hair cut – and will donate her tresses to make a wig for kids undergoing cancer treatment.

Louise Wright, who owns Interventus copy writing service, will get cropped at city centre salon Puro Hair on July 21 before giving her locks to the Little Princesses charity to turn it into a hair piece.

Ms Wright, from Digbeth, is seeking sponsorship to raise funds for Rays of Sunshine, which supports seriously ill children by helping to grant their wishes.

Ms Wright said: “I’ve always thought Rays Of Sunshine did great work giving seriously ill children something to smile about, so I chose them.”
