A counsellor who set up her own business to combat workplace stress has landed a contract with Birmingham-based healthcare insurance provider BHSF.
Zahra Lakha set up her service six months ago after deciding to take her counselling skills, developed while working with young people with drug addiction, to the workplace.
Now, with the help of the Prince's Trust, she is advising employees on lifestyles and work life balance with the help of holistic medicine techniques for which she is trained.
Through the Trust Ms Lakha was given business mentor Nick Wright, finance director of BHSF.
Through Mr Wright, Ms Lakha started one-to-one sessions with BHSF employees at their headquarters.
Mr Wright, who helps Ms Lakha with her business plan and advises on the commercial side, said: "Over 20 of our employees have voluntarily had sessions with Zahra and the feedback has been very positive."
Ms Lakha, who operates from a consulting room in Harborne, said: "The consultations deal with looking after the individual's emotional and physical wellbeing.
"It's a matter of identifying individual stress triggers."
