The unveiling of a new 5,000 sq ft spray painting facility has marked the start of a major expansion programme for a successful Black Country engineering firm.
Willenhall- based WIP International is set to double its capacity and break into new markets - in the UK and in Eastern Europe.
The company specialises in high-volume reworking, coating and assembly of metal and plastic components primarily for first tier suppliers to the automotive sector. Its customer base includes Willenhall-based car door lock manufacturer, HUF UK.
It was set up in 2001 by its three directors: Gurinder Klair, aged 33, Talvinder Singh, aged 35, and Parvinder Dhillon, aged 31, with just eight staff.
It has now increased its workforce to 30.
Gurinder said: "We spotted the opportunity to expand our services into Europe, and decided to make the investment in the new facility so that we could double our production.
"We are now aiming to sustain our growth, and become one of the leading players in our field."
WIP International's new services will trade under the banner, Advanced Finishing Technologies banner.
David Norris, diversification manager at Black Country Chamber & Business Link, is working with WIP International directors, providing advice and guidance for the firm's development.
He said: "This is a Black Country engineering firm lead by three highly entrepreneurial men which is really bucking the trend."
WIP International is an active member of Black Country Chamber and the Black Country Asian Business Association.
