Leamington-based Networks Newmedia is celebrating the launch last week of a new website it created for Birmingham Forward and Birmingham Future.
The new site will allow Birmingham Forward and Birmingham Future, the lobby groups for the city's professional and financial services sector and the networking group for the city's young professionals, to nurture their existing relationships with members and encourage other professionals to get involved.
Focusing on improving communication, the website, launched on July 21, will enable Birmingham Forward to tailor particular functions and benefits to the needs of individual members.
Users will also be able to communicate directly with 'micro groups' within the association and use the website on a daily basis as an extension of their business diary.
Members will shortly be able to book and pay online for events, which will then be automatically entered into their Microsoft Outlook calendars.
Rather than using multiple "houses" for different sections of the site, such as design, programming and connectivity, Birmingham Forward selected Networks Newmedia after a comprehensive tender process because the company was able to provide a complete solution from start to finish.
Parmi Gill, communications officer at Birmingham Forward, said: "We decided to appoint Networks Newmedia because they were very knowledgeable about the needs of membership organisations and had a good client base in the Midlands. We wanted a website that would be professional and user-friendly.
"The site also needed to reflect Birmingham's status as a centre for professional excellence so it was important to work with a company which would be innovative, creative and professional.
"The new website really does look amazing and we hope that our members, and the rest of the business community, will find it a useful source of information."
Pete Waters, managing director at Networks Newmedia, said: "We were thrilled to be given the opportunity to
bring our skills and experience to such an important organisation in the Midlands.
"It has been really enjoyable to work with Birmingham Forward and we are delighted to be contributing to the development of a flourishing city like Birmingham."
Networks Newmedia was established in 1996 and works with a number of membership organisations including with Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber, Cambridge University alumni and DeMontfort University alumni.
