Warwickshire company Table Art has been chosen to provide the centrepiece designs on the VIP tables at tonight's MOBO Awards in Glasgow.

The Lily Vase design uses DMX colour-controlled technology to illuminate the vases, with changing colour schemes bathing the room in glows and matching the mood as the event moves through the night.

The vases also provide the main source of light for the room, rather than the usual overhead lighting.

Launched in 1996 by Kanya King, the MOBOs (Music of Black Origin) were the first event in Europe to celebrate urban music.

Table Art was founded in Warwick by Gary Martin. In 2011, Hilary Devey – businesswomen and new panelist on the current series of BBC’s Dragons’ Den – became chairman and principal investor in the company.

When Gary’s business was featured on Channel 5’s The Business Inspector, Ms Devey was so impressed with the company’s concept and potential that she chose to invest.
