Warwickshire IT firm Acutec is aiming to break £2 million turnover this year compared with less than £1 million three years ago.

The Coleshill-based company has expanded organically and by acquisition and has added telecoms to its offer.

The business, which works predominantly in the Midlands, deals with a range of clients from tourist attractions to manufacturers and SMEs to larger organisations.

The company started with eight staff, currently employs 17, and hopes to grow to 21 by the end of the year by hiring new technical staff and sales people to help with the predicted expansion.

Chris Roche, managing director of Acutec, said: “Despite tough trading conditions, we have grown over the past few years and we are projecting growth of 30 per cent in the next 12 months.

“We make sure we understand each company and organisation to ensure we can bring added benefits.

“That’s why I believe we have grown and why we will continue to expand in 2012.

“We want people who know how to deal with people, to get under the skin of what they want from their systems.

“Despite the tough economic climate, we believe that is a recipe for growth in this industry.”
