Birmingham charity, Home-Start, will be helping to keep babies warm this winter after receiving a £250 donation from Warburtons Wednesbury Bakery.

The charity, which offers support and advice to disadvantaged and vulnerable families in the Winson Green, Handsworth & Sandwell areas, needed funding to buy dozens of baby grows. Jackie Cummins Dougan, Fundraising Manager at Home-Start said: “We were really struggling to raise funds for the much needed new clothes, which many families cannot afford. We really appreciate the support from companies like Warburtons, which makes a real difference.”

Mike Ewing, Warburtons Area Business Development Manager in the Midlands said: “Home Start provides valuable support to families within the local community. Warburtons is always happy to help out where it can and we urge other charities in the area to apply for funding through our Community Giving Scheme.”

If you are a part of a local charity that could benefit from a slice of the Warburtons charity pot, please send your request, detailing where the money would be spent and how it would make a difference along with your contact details to Dan Houle, Vital, 14a Clarendon Avenue, Leamington Spa, CV32 5PZ.
