Birmingham businessman Peter Wall has been appointed a consultant by law firm Mills & Reeve.

Mr Wall will advise M&R, which has offices in Birmingham, Cambridge, Norwich and London, on business development matters.

He was managing partner and deputy senior partner of Wragge & Co for many years until his early retirement in 2002.

He is currently chairman of WG Eaton, a local manufacturer of industrial heat resistant products, a member of the West Midlands regional CBI Council, on the CBI-SME Council in London, a council member of Aston University, and an external member of the university's finance and nominations committees.

Mr Wall has also recently been appointed as the alternate director for Ben Reid on the City Region board, representing the greater Birmingham area business community.

He is also a trustee of a local pension fund, a governor of Hallfield School in Edgbaston and does work as a mentor for The Princes's Trust.
