Digital Ceramic Systems is expanding its digital tile printing business thanks to backing from the North Staffordshire Risk Capital Fund.

NSRCF has provided a loan of £50,000 so that the Stokeon-Trent business can develop new technology for its highly specialised business.

The money has also been allocated to facilitate its move from Clough Street in Hanley to new premises in Leek Road Hill and buy new equipment to increase production levels.

The money from NSRCF also helped fund two new staff at the firm which now employs seven people and hopes to take on seven more in three years.

The company, which has sales of around £350,000 has produced tiles for Heathrow Airport, Amsterdam Airport, and swimming pools in the US and the Middle East.

They have also worked across the UK transferring designs produced by children into tiles and murals.
