A West Midlands construction company, prospering despite the downturn in the building industry, has doubled the size of its Black Country base.
Thomas Vale Construction has taken an additional 2,442 sq ft of office space so that it now occupies 4,929 sq ft at Churchill House on the Pensnett Estate, Kingswinford, which is owned and managed by London and Cambridge Properties (LCP), one of its main clients.
It means that in addition to its 25 to 30-strong specialist works division, the company can accommodate a similar number from its major works division which has moved from its Stourport head office. The expansion has also created 50 jobs.
Director Richard Green said: “With our increased turnover and our need to expand it made sense to take on further office space at Churchill House when it became available.’’
Thomas Vale employs more than 830 people. Last month it announced record annual results with turnover up 27 per cent to £195 million and a profit before tax of £3 million.
