A Worcester property expert who hadn’t ridden a bike for years has saddled herself with a mammoth African adventure – cycling 400km across Kenya.

Charlotte Fullard, of Halls Commercial, is working on boosting her pedal power as she trains on the roads and hills around Worcestershire in preparation for the Women v Cancer event in October. She recently cycled 120 miles to Swansea as she stepped up her training schedule.

The senior surveyor agreed to take on the monumental challenge of cycling across 400km of the Kenyan landscape to raise funds for victims of breast, cervical and ovarian cancer.

Hundreds of women from across the UK will take part in the event organised by Action for Charity. The five-day cycling event begins on October 29. Charlotte will push herself to the limit as she cycles along the slopes of Mount Kenya and the shores of Lake Victoria.

She has already raised £4,345 and all proceeds will be split equally between Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, and Ovarian Cancer Action.
