"Suits to you, sir," is the catchphrase of an enterprising tailor who has launched a new business bringing made-to-measure clothes to his customers.

Tim Nash, former director of West Midland outfitters Heaphys, branched out on his own after realising business people couldn't find the time to visit a tailor.

In response he founded Warwick-based Ferguson Nash, which visits clients at their office or home.

Clients can then be measured for a suit, choose the material and style from a selection of cloths and sample suits and have their suit delivered five to six weeks later.

"Orders vary from one to four suits at a time and I have even had a request for six kilts to be turned around in ten days!" said Mr Nash.

"Clients call and we arrange a convenient time and place to meet and usually within half an hour the style of suit, selection and colour of fabric has been agreed and measurements taken.

"It reduces an average two to three hour visit to a store down to 30 minutes or less."

Mr Nash now hopes to extend the service to women's suits for work or formal occasions. ..SUPL:
