A Stratford-upon-Avon firm of structural glazing consultants has won two major contracts in North Wales and the East Midlands – one funded by an award from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Bridgetown Developments specialises in the use of glass and steel in building design and glazing installation work.

It was chosen as a construction partner in the £8.3 million Corby Enterprise Centre development and the £2.2 million redevelopment of Wrexham County Borough Museum.

The Northamptonshire project will provide 32,000 sq ft of office, workshop and studio space and create opportunities for entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses to work within flexible spaces.

Managing director Ian Cartwright, who co-founded the company 25 years ago, said: “We knew this would be a challenging year, but were delighted to win the contracts for two key regional schemes.”

In recent years the five-man company has participated in several substantial projects in northern England.
