Keith Stanley has joined Black Country Chamber & Business Link as head of its Walsall arm.

He has taken over the reins at the Chamber's Ward Street premises from Jeff Marlow, who has left to take up a local authority position in Warwickshire. In his new role, Mr Stanley (right) is contributing to policy development and lobbying activities, taking the lead on economic policy.

Locally, he will co-ordinate the Chamber's response to the issues that impact on the Walsall business community.

"I want to help the Chamber and increase its influence, and to ensure that the views of local business are heard," he said.

With 30 years experience in industry he joins Black Country Chamber & Business Link from the post of managing director at Shrewsbury-based Hoistquip.

He has a long history of commitment to the Chamber movement, and served on the export committee at Dudley Chamber in the early 1990's.

Aged 51, he is married with two sons and lives in Burntwood, Staffordshire.
