Sports fans around the world have been enjoying live coverage and highlights of world class sporting action following the launch of new website www.247.tv - set up by Midlands company Horizon.
Fans logged on to the first web broadcasts from the Yonex All England Badminton Open, streamed to the internet by Horizon from the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.
Snooker fans were also treated to daily video highlights and behind the scenes conference footage from the Saga Insurance
World Snooker Masters at the Wembley Conference Centre.
"It has been a very exciting launch week for 247.tv," said Horizon's managing director, Fiona Harrison from Solihull.
"We are delighted to be working in partnership with Badminton England and World Snooker, introducing our web streaming technology for these prestigious world class events and meeting a real demand for sports fans to see sports when they want to from wherever they are - even if they can't access it on TV," she added.
Horizon launched a web streaming service for world men's professional squash last year on www.psalive.tv.
The new 247.tv service is building on this as a new multi-sport channel for fans to enjoy the sports they don't normally see on TV.
"It's a subscription service but we're keeping prices low and accessible," she said.
Horizon was recognised recently by regional development Advantage West Midlands, winning a top prize in the Foresight Awards as one of the most forward thinking companies in the West Midlands.
