Self-proclaimed "exceptional individual" Michael Sophocles has become the latest candidate to be booted off The Apprentice.
The telesales executive, 25, was fired by Sir Alan Sugar after failing a luxury car rental task. The candidates were ordered to rent a selection of Aston Martins, Ferraris, Lamborghinis or Pagini Zondas to the public.
But the team headed up by Sophocles only made £2,114 in sales compared to their rivals' £11,815.
Sir Alan called Sophocles, who describes himself as "an exceptional individual... exceptional and fearless," a "disaster zone".
Sophocles tells the tycoon: "I am here because I want to work for you... I came here to challenge myself. I want to learn from you."
But Sir Alan says: "You've been in this boardroom before quite a few times... It's a tough one... but I think I have to say to you 'you're fired'."
Sophocles said afterwards: "I think Sir Alan liked me which means a lot to me."
In a previous task, Sir Alan discovered that Sophocles did not know the difference between Kosher and Halal meat, even though his CV boasts: "I am a good Jewish boy."
