FEMALE members of a private golf club in Solihull have raised more than £15,000 for a hospice in the borough.
The ladies of Olton Golf Club have been staunch supporters of the Marie Curie Big Build appeal to fund the new West Midlands hospice on Warwick Road, which opened in January, and raised the sum through different events over the past two years.
Members funds will go towards the £110,000 target for a family room at the hospice.
Thanks to the generosity of people in the West Midlands, Marie Curie has raised more than £6.5 million for the hospice, but needs further donations to hit its target of £7 million.
